Tag Heuer at LVMH Watch Week 2024

TAG HEUER at LVMH Watch Week 2024

In an opulent fusion of time-honored tradition and contemporary flair, LVMH unfurled the red carpet for the fifth edition of its much-anticipated LVMH Watch Week. From January 28th to February 1st, the world’s leading luxury conglomerate dazzled journalists and retailers alike with the latest horological masterpieces from its esteemed watchmaking Maisons. Amidst Miami’s vibrant backdrop, a city synonymous with luxury and cultural dynamism, this year’s event not only continues its legacy but also introduces new chapters with the inclusion of Daniel Roth and Gérald Genta, making their debut under the La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton umbrella. Here are our selection of Tag Heuer timepieces unveiled at this year’s LVMH Watch Week.

Tag Heuer Carrera Chronograph

The new Carrera Chronograph masterfully retains the iconic Dato vintage look while introducing notable technical enhancements, including improved ergonomics on the case, a gracefully curved flange, and a dial with circular brushed finishing. The watch, crafted from steel, showcases rhodium-plated indexes and hands, complemented by a teal green azuré mono subdial at the three o’clock position.

The timepiece boasts a domed sapphire “Glassbox” crystal, so called because of its domed, curved, crystal glass, paying homage to similarly domed hesalite crystal designs from the 1970s. Reengineered to have a curve that flows seamlessly over the flange, it runs along the edge of the dial, blending into the case. This innovative design offers an easy reading of the indications on the dial via the front glass.

The watch features an open caseback that showcases TAG Heuer’s in-house movement Heuer 02 listed as TH20-07, with an impressive 80-hour power reserve. The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph comes on a high-end black alligator leather strap with a stainless-steel folding clasp.

Tag Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon

The new Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon is a captivating addition to the Carrera collection presented in an elegant teal green circular brushed dial of 42mm. At its heart, the watch features a tourbillon cage at 6 o’clock, encased within a glass frame.

Remaining true to the Carrera’s heritage, the watch retains the iconic Glassbox design, providing a panoramic view of the tourbillon from various angles, as well as enhancing the overall readability and aesthetic appeal. The teal green flange, rhodium-plated applied indexes, and deep azuré subdials, surrounded by green rings, further contribute to the watch’s readability and elegance.

Powering this timepiece is the Heuer 02 – TH20-09, crafted by TAG Heuer Movements Director Carole Forestier-Kasapi and the watchmaker’s technical teams. This movement has a bidirectional automatic winding mechanism, significant efficiency and accuracy, as well as a recognized level of finishing. The watch comes with a black alligator leather strap, fastened by a finely brushed, polished steel folding clasp with double safety push-buttons.

Tag Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph

TAG Heuer’s Aquaracer, a collection for adventure enthusiasts, now offers a touch of feminine elegance with the introduction of five 34mm models. These watches also offer enhanced functionality by incorporating the watchmaker’s Solargraph solar technology. Like its predecessors, the new 34mm size models come with the key features of the Aquaracer collection: a unidirectional rotating bezel, screw-down crown, water resistance to 200 meters, luminous markings, sapphire crystal and a double safety clasp.

Of the five new models, two are “everyday” watches featuring TAG Heuer’s iconic Aquaracer Polar Blue dial and deep blue dials. The other three models break new ground with the introduction of mother-of-pearl dials, a first for the Solargraph series. Using MOP for the dial presented a unique challenge as Solargraph technology requires semi-transparency to harness solar energy. The mother-of-pearl was ingeniously adapted to ensure visibility while allowing light to pass through.

Two of the three MOP models also feature diamonds, one adorned with diamonds on the indexes, and one with diamonds gracing both the indexes and bezel. To further enhance the feminine aesthetic of the new 34mm models, they debut trapezoidal shape riders that align with the trapezoidal indexes on the dial. The lug-to-lug distance has been reduced to ensure a better fit for a wide range of feminine wrist sizes. The watch has a sleek profile, with a case thickness of just 9.5mm.

Tag Heuer Carrera Date Plasma Diamant D’avant-Garde

At the heart of this avant-garde creation is the TH’s innovative Plasma technology, which enables the growth of lab-grown diamonds. This technology ensures that the entire diamond is imbued with colour uniformly, and achieves homogeneity throughout its structure. This year’s yellow-diamond d’Avant-Garde timepiece features a total of 4.8 carats of lab-grown diamonds.

The timepiece comes in white gold with a 36mm case. Its unique polycrystalline dial is achieved by growing a vast number of diamond crystals as one. The dial is punctuated by 12 white gold indexes set with white baguette-cut lab-grown diamonds of 0.5 carats. At noon, is a yellow lab-grown diamond in its signature shield cut just below the Carrera logo. Its signature diamond crown is a single, 1.3-carat, yellow lab-grown diamond and represents a marvel of gem-cutting craftsmanship.

The hours and minutes hands are skeletonized. The watch comes on a white alligator strap with a white gold pin buckle, and its Calibre 7 Automatic is visible through the sapphire caseback.

Tag Heuer Connected Calibre E4

TAG Heuer Connected watches blend the refinement of traditional timepieces with a smartwatch experience. This year, the 45mm fine-brushed and polished steel case features a ceramic polished bezel in a deep and understated shade of green, which is complemented by a matching green rubber strap. It has a black-coated steel crown.

This watch comes with three distinct watch faces – named Mirage, Prism, and Chromatic – each a different hue of green that mirrors the bezel. In addition to the TAG Heuer Watch Faces, the menu of custom apps includes Sports, Golf, Wellness and micro apps such as Stopwatch, Timer and Alarm.

Tag Heuer Connected – New Watch Faces 2024

In addition to the ones mentioned above, TAG Heuer also unveiled several new watch faces for its Connected watches that reproduce the dials of Carrera, Aquaracer and F1 models.

A teal green colour scheme model and a tourbillon movement model echo the mechanical Carrera Chronograph and Chronograph Tourbillon watches launched at this year’s LVMH Watch Week, while a blue dial draws inspiration from the Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon revealed at Watches and Wonders 2023.

The Solargraph watch face, which adapts to ambient light intensity, offers a spectrum of colours from black to white. The Formula 1 watch face designs replicate their quartz chronograph counterparts with red, yellow, and green colour schemes.
