Sales from Christie’s Watches Online: Dubai Edit totalled $5,592,000 / AED20,327,501, achieving 84% by lot and 100% by value. The auction, which was the largest online Watches sale ever hosted by Christie’s, saw global participation with registered bidders from 38 countries, across five continents.
An impressive 45% of registrants in the auction were new to Christie’s. Of the top 10 lots sold in the auction, half were acquired by collectors from the Middle East, with the remaining going to the international Watch community.
The leading watch of the sale was a Rolex, Steel Submariner “MILSUB”, Ref. 5513/17- made for the British Royal Navy, which sold for $400,000 / AED1,454,042, establishing a record price for a Watch sold online at Christie’s.

– a Patek Philippe, Platinum and Diamonds Perpetual Calendar Chronograph, Ref. 5271P-011, which achieved $200,000/ AED727,021;
– a Patek Philippe, Gold, Diamonds, Pearl and Ruby-Set Skeletonized Keyless Watch, Ref. 912, which sold for $118,750/ AED431,669, against an estimate of $35,000-50,000.
