Omega has added three new models to its increasingly popular Worldtimer lineup – “the watch made to track every time zone on the planet.” The three new models comprise a titanium edition, and two stainless steel models in striking green and blue dials.

All three watches are 43 mm, and are distinguished by their unique Worldtimer display. At the centre of its dial is a replica of Earth. Presenting a view above the North Pole, this Earth is created by laser-ablating the continents and colours on a grade 5 titanium surface. Although impossible to see with the naked eye, this entire earthscape is domed, to mimic the curvature of the Earth.

Circling the topographic map is a 24-hour indication under hesalite glass. It is divided into daytime and night-time zones depicted by white and black colours respectively. Omega’s home city of Bienne Switzerland is among the many global destinations circling around each dial and its outer ring. All place names on the titanium and green steel watches, except for London, are coloured yellow gold. The British capital is in red to highlight Greenwich Mean Time, or Universal Time Coordinated (UTC).

“At Omega, we take pride in our pioneering spirit and these watches are like a call to action. Go for it! Step out into the world! The dials are works of art, which prompt a sense of awe and adventure. What’s more, there is top-level technology working behind those amazing displays. They’re beautiful, fun to wear and operate and true collectables,” says Omega President and CEO Raynald Aeschlimann.

The 43 mm Titanium Worldtimer is lightweight and corrosion-resistant. The entire black and grey dial, including its colours, is produced using a laser. There are no transferred elements, apart from the word London, and even here the red varnish has been applied by hand.

To complement the matte dial, Omega has opted for a brushed black ceramic bezel, as well as blackened hands and indexes. The latter are filled with white Super-LumiNova which emits a blue glow in the dark. Completing the look is an integrated strap in black structured rubber with grey stitching. It features an additional decorative link in brushed grade 2 titanium, and grade 2 titanium clasp.

The green stainless steel watch is available in two style options: one with a stainless-steel bracelet and butterfly clasp, another with an integrated green rubber strap with grey stitching. The additional decorative link is in polished steel, as is the polished-brushed fold-over clasp. The green sun-brushed PVD dial is encircled by a polished-brushed green ceramic bezel. The hands and indexes, in 18K Moonshine Gold, add contrasting shine to the dial.

The blue Worldtimer is part of the eight-model Aqua Terra “Summer Blue” collection, released as part of Omega’s 75th Anniversary commemoration of the Seamaster’s launch in 1948. The case is in polished and brushed stainless steel, while the sun-brushed dial is in the collection’s unique “Summer Blue” hue. The dial has a gradient finish with vertical teak stripes.

The rhodium-plated hands and indexes are filled with a sublime light-blue Super-LumiNova. The global destinations are in silvery print. The daytime and night-time zones are indicated with light blue and dark blue respectively, instead of white and black. The oceans of the Earth are depicted in blue. Turning the watch over reveals a stamped commemorative Seamaster logo depicting a trident-bearing Poseidon and two seahorses. Like the green model, the blue Worldtimer is available with a steel bracelet or blue rubber strap.

The driving force behind the new Seamaster Aqua Terra Worldtimer watches is the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8938. It meets the highest standards of precision demanded by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS). Each timepiece also has a water resistance of 15 bar (150 m).
