Inspired by the life of the rich and famous in Hollywood, Gucci’s campaign for their signature handbag, the Sylvie, displays the high life of a mother and daughter clad head-to-toe in Gucci. The sun-drenched backdrop of palm-lined avenues and Beverly Hills’ Rodeo Drive serve as a setting for the new campaign shot by Petra Collins. Creative Director Alessandro Michele tapped none other than multi-award-winning actress Faye Dunaway and French singer, songwriter and actress SoKo to play the mother-daughter duo.
The campaign sees Faye Dunaway being cruised in a chauffeur-driven limo and spending her day shopping on Rodeo Drive, lounging poolside, playing tennis and just living a luxurious life. Accompanying her are her daughter played by SoKo and her Sylvie bag. The film concludes with the mother giving her daughter a Sylvie handbag of her own, as a symbolic gift, to treasure across generations.
