The Talisman – a collaborative presentation by The Unnamed Society and S by Salanitro – is a pendant depicting “The Protective Eye.” This bespoke, exquisite jewellery features exceptional aesthetics, precious materials and mesmerising gem-setting artistry.

“The Protective Eye,” according to The Unnamed Society, “is the timeless, mystical symbol of the all-seeing, all-knowing eye that channels powers beyond our understanding.” Founded in 2019 in Switzerland, The Unnamed Society is a collective of passionate inventors, designers and artisans. Represented by the owl, its spirit animal, the Society exits to “conceive the impossible and then make it a reality.”

The Talisman – conceived by The Unnamed Society and executed by the artisans at S by Salanitro – transcends the usual notion of jewellery to an expression of individualism. Each Talisman medallion, measuring 40mm in diameter, is based on one of two designs – Plain and Sunray. It is then painstakingly handcrafted to the client’s specifications.

The medallion features the noblest materials, and juxtaposes complex colours, shapes and textures in unique combinations that mirror the wearer’s personality. The number and combination of gems selected, the type of setting and the metal finish chosen are seemingly infinite: yellow, white or rose gold; titanium, raw or PVD-coated; Amethysts; white, black and brown diamonds; orange sapphires, yellow sapphires and blue ones; rubies and tsavorites.

We are informed that the ‘Rainbow’ version of the medallion’s gem setting, the most elaborate, comprises up to 4.15 carats of precious and semi-precious stones. The ‘Diamonds’ version comprises up to 2.80 carats of diamonds, while the Gold version contains up to 43 grams of 3N or 5N gold. Each 720mm necklace is made of semi-precious stones with an elegant ‘T’ clasp necklace. However, the client can opt for a gold or titanium chain.

S by Salanitro is the Geneva-based specialist in designing and producing luxurious objet d’art pieces with an exceptional savoir-faire in precious stone settings. Pierre Salanitro founded S by Salanitro in 2020 as a subsidiary of his Geneva-based Salanitro watch manufacturing company.

Founded in 1990 as a stone-setting specialist for the Swiss watch industry, Salanitro has grown to offer a broad range of services, from design to serial or customised watch manufacturing. Managing a group of over 200 specialists in its state-of-the-art workshop is the company’s founder Pierre Salanitro, who started his career as a gem-setter for some of Switzerland’s biggest watch brands.

Pierre Salanitro believes that innovation serves tradition. Thus, S by Salanitro brings into play the most advanced technologies like 3D printing, among others, to create the most life-like irises. Each Talisman, already unique by its design and the choice of materials, is rendered truly fascinating by the combination of time, precision and passion that goes into crafting it.
