Niyama Private Islands Maldives to Host First-ever Fitness Week by Shaun Stafford

Niyama Private Islands Maldives Shaun Stafford Fitness Week

Niyama Private Islands Maldives will hold its first-ever Fitness Week this year, between September 21 and 28, hosted by Shaun Stafford.

Niyama Private Islands Maldives offers an abundance of opportunities to create bespoke island experiences because of its twin islands, Chill and Play. The Chill Island, true to its name, offer new depths of relaxation at the Drift Spa, entertainment under the stars at the outdoor cinema, unique fine dining experiences from the jungle to the sea and so much more. The Play Island provides delightful diversions for those looking for more active pursuits.

Shaun Stafford

Shaun Stafford, the host of Niyama’s Fitness Week, is a two-time World Fitness champion, founder of City Athletic London, manager of lifestyle brand GHOST, Men’s Manual ambassador, pro-fitness model, and celebrity trainer with 232,000+ online followers and counting.

The Fitness Week will offer a balance between working hard and playing hard, training and recovery. Whether a fitness fanatic or first-timer, the programme promises to push each individual to attain their personal best.

Each day of the retreat begins with a group workout led by Shaun, followed by one-on-one coaching sessions on two of the afternoons. Participants will also undergo an epigenetic test based on these results, as well as an in-depth consultation.

Shuan will then draw up a personalised six-week training programme that is best suited to their genetic makeup, lifestyle, and goals, which they can continue with back home. Downtime includes a whole day of recovery with stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking, massage and IV therapy at Drift Spa, and a movie under the stars.

Niyama’s twin islands of Play and Chill are the ideal setting for such a retreat. There are long stretches of beach to jog. In addition to the two swimming pools, the pristine ocean waters are ideal for swimming, as well as skiing, boarding, surfing or sailing. There are flood-lit tennis and Futsal courts. The resort’s Pump gym offers a view to inspire and all the equipment needed for a next-level workout.

Throughout the retreat, guests will also enjoy unlimited use of the spa’s hydrotherapy circuit, mingling over cocktails on the beach, and three-course dinners in the treetops at Nest or deep in the jungle at Tribal. The Fitness Week retreat is open to a maximum of 10 participants, with bookings required by September 4, 2024, and does not include accommodation. There is also a programme for accompanying partners who wish to simply relax.
