Coloratura Collection by Cartier: the kaleidoscope of our world

French Jeweler Cartier officially unveiled its Coloratura high-jewellery collection at Haute Couture Fashion week in Paris last month. Each piece in the collection is a bespoke work of art which includes stand-alone necklaces, as well as complete jewellery suites inspired by the particular vibrant colour of artistic cultures.

The necklace and ring of the Matsuri suite feature opals, tourmaline, onyx, rose-cut and brilliant-cut diamonds on a bed of platinum. All the other suites are based on white gold in place of Platinum. Holika rings feature rubellite, blue tourmaline beads, chrysoberyl beads, square-shaped and brilliant-cut diamonds. Morganites dominate the Yoshino suite and are supported by opals, tourmaline beads, pink sapphires, and brilliant-cut diamonds. Chromaphonia suite comprises a necklace and earrings dominated by Afghan emeralds and supported by spinel beads, mandarin garnet beads, turquoise, onyx, rose-cut and brilliant-cut diamonds.

Kanaga necklace has orangey-pink spinels as the centrepiece and two triangular-shaped step-cut diamonds along with spinel beads, triangular-shaped, baguette-cut and brilliant-cut diamonds. The collection also features the Orienphonie quartz movement wristwatch with a white gold base, nineteen orangey-red coral beads, onyx, and brilliant-cut diamonds.
